Charcoal vs. Gas Grills

Some people prefer gas and others charcoal. This debate has been around for a long time. There are advantages to both but choosing one or the other will be the consumers, meaning your choice. With information about both charcoal and gas grills along with taste testing you will then be able to make an informed decision.

Gas grills are definitely convenient as you don't need to try hard to get them lit. Just turn on the gas and push a button or in the case of some real old models using a match. This is easiest feature of using a gas grill. Reaching the proper temperature may only take minutes instead of charcoal grills which can take longer for all the coals to begin burning a reasonable temperature. With a gas grill adjusting the temperature for the food you are cooking is as easy as turning a knob. Even when the food has finished being prepared, cleaning is a snap. Just have your wire brush on hand scrub down the grates and wipe down the sides.

When it comes to Charcoal grills some people prefer just the experience alone of firing up the charcoal and waiting for it to burn down to the proper temperature, this gives time to prepare the food, strike up a conversation if you have company and just enjoy the aroma of an outdoor barbeque. One of the reasons people use charcoal grills over gas is the flavor that it will bring to the food. The smoke will infuse with the food to give it a little smokier flavor. Sometime adding some hickory wood will flavor the food even more. Another bonus of using a charcoal grill as opposed to gas is the price, where gas grills can be more than $200, finding a charcoal grill it’s not uncommon to find them prices as low as $30 or $40.
